Hi all,
I've tried pm'ing a couple of you but the messages are stuck in my Outbox. I've spotted a low mileage (16k) ST for sale, its quite a distance from me, just after some tips really on what to look/listen for if I decide to go and have a look.
Anything at all is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Adam

Adam, the ST has many parts which are unique but at a quick glance look to be MK.2 items.
Most of the ST body panels are slightly bigger than the MK.2 parts.
The front mudguard, tank, panels, seat are ST only.
The front forks are 40mm,again ST only as I think is the front wheel and discs
The rear wheel is 17".
The engine is the MK.2 type.
Any noises, etc apart from the usual Kawasaki characteristics such as the straight cut primary gear whine, etc usually mean work,££££ or at the very least a GOOD service.
Chain drive models offer more scope for modification, but always sell for more.

Looks very nice, clean and original . If 16k is genuine there should be nothing wrong with it. Although they are asking top whack, These turn up private for around a grand but have usually seen lots more action. Engine is mk2 based and only difference is output shaft and bevel gubbins, Bought one in bits years ago and can't remember if there is also a slight difference in the cases on the drive cover side.
