Anyone going to nw200, first time going, any tips of best view point etc. much appreciated. Should be going on z1b, taking it back to where I bought it.

Yes , planning on going over this year.
Major electrical gremlins last year , meant i missed the Fri ferry with the rest of the lads , and electrical gremlins on the ferry itself on Sat am meant I saw the last lap of the last race only!!
Usually there's a small group going over ( Fer , Iain Marshall plus others )and sometime we're lucky enough to blag a bit of floor to sleep on courtesy of the Irish members .Don't know what the plan is this year though.Keep an eye on the forum and in touch with this thread.

I went a couple of years ago - it was a blast. Only got to see the action from the start/finish and the Metropole, and as far as I could tell, it was difficult to move around once you had decided on a spot. It's not like the Isle of Man, where there are back roads everywhere. It gets VERY busy. Are you meeting up with anybody local, as lots of people have favourite spots or live near the track.
The roads are bloody brilliant - go for the A2 round the coast from Portstewart round to Larne. There were no police around when we went, but I heard tales later of very enthusiastic police officers checking speeders.
Shed a tear at Joey's Bar.
Take an anti-alcohol poisoning tablet if you meet up with any locals.
Enjoy.

Advice:- take a radio or a phone with radio on it and some earphones you can tune in to the local radio stn and listen to whats going on. And take some waterproofs (good ones) and warm clothes and something to sit on and something for a hangover.
Joking aside the radio is good.
