Heat resistant GLOSS black paint ???

#1 PostAuthor: Monk » Thu Feb 12, 2009 3:52 pm

Hi all

I need some heat resistant GLOSS black paint to do the old Harris in.

Plenty of matt black available, but tricky to find gloss black exhaust paint.

Any ideas ???

My experinec of the exhaust paint is that on ther headers it always ends up Matt anyway.

VHT Do a gloss engine enamle which is ok on the back sections, but does go dull on the headers?

Has anyone ever tried stove enamelling on their exhausts, would this work?

Exhaust manifolds will probably get too hot for stove enamelling :??

Hi Monk, i've used Sperex products in the past, which are excellent.
Take a look at this link;

Four pipes rule, anything else is second best.
