Be interested to see a bog stock Z against a bog stock H2 :!:

I have a bog stock Thou` and will give it a go. I have been on the quarter but not for many years !

Rick, you must know someone that will take up the challenge ?

Not you though as you are far too experienced on the strip

Handy tip though.............

To give yourself a fair chance.... remove all extraneous items from the bike... such as the centre stand

Neah not me - although I have made many runs in my life but I am still utterly crap at it - I just do it for the adrenalin rush :D Plus I am 50lbs too heavy to run even half decent times on a 2 stroke

Just to wind you boys up a little further, the great Tony Nicosia was one of the leading test riders for kawasaki from 1968 to 1975 At the release of the Z1 he was asked to prepare that years models for a show down test for the national magazines, he prepped the H2 and also the Z1, he told me that the H2 would have won hands down at the track . . . . If Kawasaki hadn't have stepped in and told him that if the H2 won the tests he would never work for kawasaki again . . . . He never did "officially"

http://kawtriple.com/mraxl/articles/197 ... bikes2.htm

As in every other category so far, the Kawasakis swept the horsepower race with the 750 on top at 64.52 at 6555 rpm and the 903 just a flash behind—64.15 at 8440 revs

The all-conquering Kawasaki 750 also won the torque battle, snubbing the Sportster by 2.52 foot pounds—52.30 at 6037 rpm to 49.78 at a low, low 2471 revs. Next came the 903 with 45.35 foot-pounds at 7174 revs.

Or take the Kawasaki 750, thee quickest bike of all (12.28).

If you’ve poured over the charts and graphs you know by now that the Kawasaki 750 delivered the test’s low ET, second-highest quarter-mile speed, the fastest lap time, the strongest braking force, the highest torque and horsepower readings on the dynamometer, the highest power-to-weight ratio, the lowest price, the fewest dollars spent per point earned, and the highest point total—399.6 against a perfect total of 400. Based on performance alone, it is without a question of doubt the King of the Superbikes. Right behind it, with a point total of 399.0, is the devastating 903cc Z1

:P :P :P :P :P
