I have used the frame on engine dodge a few times .I also took the cam cover off as well as that gives you a bit more room to work with .Any how the lump is back in the frame and the main stand is on and its up on its stand.I am waiting for the taper head bearings and roller swing arm bearing kit to turn up so I can get the races fitted and the front forks on with the front wheel in it all gets a lot more stable .I may be teaching you guys how to suck eggs here but I am becoming amazed by how many parts are still available as genuine Kawasaki parts and that some of the prices are not that bad .You can still get the proper cable ties that hold the switch cables to the handle bars and the cable clip that holds the clutch cable to the frame between the exhaust front pipes, headlamp rim screws, foot rest mounting rubbers and the rear brake adjuster to name a few.The top end of the motor had been vapour blasted but the crank cases are original 34 years old .The bike is an import so it has not had good old English salt to contend with so the crank cases are still quite bright after a hot pressure wash.

Hells teeth I remember that .What about them groovy clothes .I think I might have to let the trousers out a bit these days .I just ran the bike reg on the DVLA site but it has gone.I reckon the picture was just before I had that UK long rear fender off and stashed behind my tool box .Just think that was so long ago Elton John was straight and Jacko was a black guy .Thanks for digging that out I have not seen it for years it brought back a few memories . It has helped to cheer me up as I have just discovered that I did not send the right hand rear engine mount in for powder coating with the rest of the stuff so I have to go back with it .I have a few extra days off at Christmas so hope to get in the garage and get some work done on the bike .
