Anyone got a set of BS34's for sale, or spares? Even the jet needles would help.
Cheers,
Rod

Sounds like you've got a similar problem to the one I had. I spent years trying to track down needles for my carbs. They had dynojet needles fitted and it just didn't run properly.
I spent a small fortune at a local dyno centre where they tried out various needles. XJR1300 needles worked out OK in the end.
Don't put pods on thoses carbs otherwise it will never run quite right. Leave the airbox on.

Thanks for the comments Brian, can't use a stock airbox on the Harris, so have to use pods. I've found a needle, bit worn but should be ok. The carbs are stripped, all parts cleaned, carbs boiled up on the cooker. I have been running 134 mains, stock pilots and jet needles set at lowest groove. Got about 118 bhp at the crank on these settings, with flowed head, 1172 WISCO and a pipe, Rob at Mistral built the motor a few years ago.
I found all sorts of crap in the carbs and one of the vacumm pistons has been sticking, so I'm hoping for a big improvement.
When it's set up I may try 145 mains, #40 pilots and 3rd groove for the needle. These are the settings recommended by Wired George, an american carb guru. Site is www.wgcarbs.com worth a look.
