Hello guys, Yes the injectors must be set correctly, luckly a bloke up the road from me worked for Kawasaki when the Z's were in full production and set them for me. You can look yourself at the injectors where they fit inside the injector bodies, the needles you can see the ends of them must all be set at the same depth.
Sorry by the way i deleted some photos from Photobucket and it deleted them from the forum as well, B**++$ks.
Anyway engine finished

Engine does look very very tasty. You don't work at Z-power do you? The speed of your work appears very impressive.Almost as fast as the boys at Z.P.
I was wondering if you painted or powder coated your engine.

Chrisu, are you allowed to say how much it costs to have the injectors cleaned and tested on this forum for others to see including who we could send our injectors to? My injectors appear to work OK but I worry that they may not be working at their best and would rather have someone who is an expert in these matters give me a difinitive answer.

By the way how many Z1000 H's are owned by members. It would be nice to know.

Alas I can only afford to have just the one. No 68

cheers.............chris

Ref Injector setup - he looked at them today - 'standard bosch - should be no problem'.

He said normal charge is £15 per injector to test, strip, clean, reassemble and retest.

He also said he had some of the sealing rubbers kicking around - didn't ask a price but given the current ones are 28 years old I think I'll change them anyway.

I have an original irish registered Z1000H which i picked up 2 weeks ago.
It was lying in a shed for the last 20 years, apparently in developed a knock in the engine and was wheeled in to the shed never to see the light of day again. It is bog standard apart from a yoshi 4 into 1.
Frame no. 684 and engine no. 364
I will post a pic later. Hope to get to work on it in the next forthnight.

Paul,

How's it going,

I think i might know where there's another in pristine condition.

Seems there was a few in the republic.

I know mine was one of six that were brought in new in 1980.

Well I have #405 here in Australia mine is a z1000G which is the "custom" version but identifcal tot he "H" except for the bars, tank, seat and tail section.

I believe 3201 were made of both the "H" and "G" models all up, and at least 200 hit Australia, I doubt if 50 are left here, I have a friend who has a running z1000H #100
