I think this one will proceed due to the sheer interest shown already.

Don`t want to push my luck but can we say we are the Z1OC of GB & ROI or should we just be a group of boys.

Whenever we had Norwegians at UK Rallies they were all Norwegians, they were all Z1OC Norway members but there was nothing official about their visit they were just there. If you're a club member you're quite free to say so I'm sure the Germans wil be pleased to see you...

Why? It doesn't have to be a "official" club event.

Isn't that what I said?
I don't think anyone means 'official' in the sense of taking club banners etc.etc. but 'official' in the sense that someone isn't made to feel that they've done something wrong by even proposing the idea whilst shock, horror not being an area rep.

Also I do understand Pauls predicament as coordinator for 'official events' but surely all that is required is a list of dates/venues and no more to remain on the top of the Events section, then members can see what's what and go to any relevant discussions on any given event if they wish. is that not simple? or am I missing something. :??

Thanks for clearing that up everybody ! Planning will now go ahead with a meeting for those that might be able to get to London on the 12th December in a Central Pub somewhere.
This was going to be a last meeting of the year and a good excuse for a serious drink with the luxury of train travel home afterwards.
I think the only way to do this on a Nationwide basis is for each region to make plans themselves and have meeting points in either the UK or Continent as they make their way to Hannover.
Example the SW boys could meet the SE boys at Dover and such like.
Or the Irish boys might meet those from the NW at Hull.
We could then tie up in Holland or Germany, before going on to Hannover.
I would think for those going on the Channel route, that to be in France by 8.00am will give a relatively relaxing trip from there. (Bearing in mind 400 miles isn`t really relaxing)
If anyone wants to organise their area or region and let me know what you decide I will collate all the information and make enquiries from there.

Thanks again to the Club for your understanding in this matter but as I have said before I don`t think I have the time to do the job of a Rep, but am happy to Project Manage this one.
A case of a new member wanting to put something back !

Well Ted it`d be great if you want to come along.

I`m sort of hoping to sleep on someones couch that has a mainline station that is open beyond 6.30 pm.

That`s the trouble with living in the stix ! They took away our branch line after Ronnie Biggs parked his military vehicle under a bridge just up the road. We are on a main line but they assume we all go to bed early round here

my last train leaves Kings X at 12.36 am.

But as I have to be up early the next day as I'm shooting so I won't be off clubbing with TLC.

Crash space in Hertford not a problem providing you get the 12.36...........

BunnyZ also confirmed.

can I suggest we move these discussions to the other thread.......
