Not until we clear up this B***OCKS that seems to be upsetting some people !
If anyone wants to take over the organising in an official capacity then fine. I only posed the question after all but Mr Organiser please note !
THERE SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF INTEREST ON THIS ONE
So please, let`s have an organised pilgrimage to the famous Z TREFFEN in Germany and pay homage to some serious Z heads.

well chris it looks like you have been voted in as temporary rep for bedfordshire until someone from bedfordshire steps in to take the roll.
so you can now organise it..
this is getting a bit silly now,
from the way i understand it .........
if there is a member and not a rep organising it , we can still put up the details in the meetings section, just that it has to remain out of the events section, is that correct...
and the events thread will remain at the top of the meetings section, so we can check it and make our meets around those dates, is that correct..

zed the best ride of your life ...... so far
I would like Paul to clear this up please !
No one has a monopoly of good ideas and I did ask for the clubs consent.
Look guys, I think this is a F***ING excellent idea and we can do a lot of good by tying in with our Euro spending bretherin. They are mad over there and it will be a great weekend I have no doubt.
Who wants to take over this and make it official
As far as Reps go I thought that they were supposed to organise events in their local area ?
I have seen nothing!
Ralph is a new rep and has been working very hard for the club.
Is this not what it`s all about

There's nothing to stop you organising a run to a German Rally. It doesn't have to be an officially sanctioned club event for you to organise it through the website. Area reps organise events in their own areas, Paul is in charge of making sure that if there are officially sanctioned club events that they don't clash. None of this has any real bearing on a German gig. I personally think a run to a German Rally would be a good idea they seem to have great events, I 've always fancied going to one myself, if I get any of my zeds back together before next summer I'd consider this one too.
Various people have gone to Norwegian Rallies before, they were groups of various sizes, they were just people going not officiall club sanctioned runs. I don't think there's any requirement for them to be.

Thanks very much Chris.
I think this one will proceed due to the sheer interest shown already.
Don`t want to push my luck but can we say we are the Z1OC of GB & ROI or should we just be a group of boys.
It`d be great to make it official if we can. We owe it to the hosts to pay proper respect !

It wouldn't bother me if it was 'official' or not, as Chris has said it doesn't have to be, but I would have thought it beneficial to all if the club did endorse it, especially as the Z1OC of GB and the ROI quite rightly has members from many parts of the world. If this trip does go ahead it would be club members attending and enjoying in part the hospitality of other club members, therefore it would be a little strange if it wasn't.
Hey Mark, everybody likes a trier.

Why? It doesn't have to be a "official" club event. There are legal implications to such things and as has been said before this club exists with the lowest membership fee of any national club because the club's ethos is keep it simple. Area reps can hold area meets. There are usually one or main two club rallies and representation at some shows . Once there starts to be "official" club events popping up all over the country we'll start having all sorts of issues to contend with, this club doesn't operate on the same scale as the VJMC and never will. If someone wants to go to a German Rally just announce it and see if anyone else wants to go. Why does it need a whole debate about irrelevant "officially sanctioned" stuff. Just do it.
