Z1 B brake pad shims
Any one know were i can get anti squeal shims for my z1b disc brake i have tried all the old fixes i know copper grease.rubber compound on pad backs etc all free on splines .tried sintered and non sintered pads has any one any more ideas is it the design of system? a lot of zeds seem prone to this.......

I,m sure you could make some up from some thin shim material,steel or stainless as long as you know the shape of them,a metal supplier should be able to help.I think the Z1B uses the same pads as the Z1A one of which has two pins on the back of the pad which locates the anti squeal shim in place,a lot of pattern pads do not have these pins fitted. This would then cause a problem when trying to fit the shims,are genuine (ie with pins) pads still available?
