rebuilding brake calipers

#1 PostAuthor: mothra » Fri Oct 24, 2008 12:28 pm

Anyone got any advice for rebuilding the brake calipers (front and rear) on a z650? I'f stripped them to pieces, had it all powdercoated, got the piston and dust seals etc back in, but I'm having a total nightmare getting the pad bracket back into the caliper body with the stupid little rubber caps and copper washers still in place - I suspect anyone who has done it will know what i mean. Worse, if I do manage to wiggle it into place I can't get the bolts though the copper washers - I know they are the right size as I'm resuing the original bolts and washers... I'm open to suggestions!!!

Thanks,

Stu
