Big disaster

I've just had an e-mail from Sandi telling me The Canal Inn has gone tits up and we have no venue for our meeting. I do however have two temporary venues which are biker friendly. One is the White Post but it may be rather short notice and the Bath Classic Club are having their run from there on Sunday, but apparently it is rather rammed on a Sunday Lunchtime with non-biker folk. A better venue might be the Rising Sun in my Village, which has a large car park, a biker landlord and also does food. The rising Sun does quite a few bike events throughout the year.

My preference would be for the Rising Sun as I know that it will be suitable, though I'll be robbed of a ride though if the weathers nice I'll put on a ride out. Is every one OK with this plan?

Please let me know ASAP if you're OK with this.

Oh crikey that`s such a real shame.

Gone tits up so quickly ? I know pubs have a hard time of it at the mo` but is it really that hard for a small country pub ?

Just let me know where to be when you decide and make sure you ask if it`s alright to do doughnuts in the car park.

Yeah it's defo at the Rising Sun in Pensford for this last meeting of the year :D

I'll have to think long and hard for next year's rally and meetings :??

Anyone who wants to send an e-mail to Sandi and Nigel the address I got the grim news from was - info@thecanalinn.net

I have wished them well and asked that they stay in touch as they treated us like royalty and I hope that they have more luck in the future - they certainly deserve it :!:

I gave Sandi a call tonight to wish her and Nigel well. They're having a really crap time and have not only lost their business but their home as well :(

She did say that they really enjoyed our rally, though it was bloody hard graft :D

Well `twas a long journey there and back, but the least I could do for a stalwart of a Club Rep like Ralphy...........TOP MAN THAT YOU AND CB ARE :!:
Image
Mrs TLC did her best to hide..........but I got her :!:
The other ladies were of course CB and Alison I forget the other :?: and the chaps.
Image
Mikey`s boy, Terry can talk for England :!:
Image

My boy, Edward is learning from his mother where the hiding is concerned...........not good enough though :!:
Image
Mikey was the only one with nothing to do once he got home (I:E clean his bike)......so came on his Zed
Image
It was a long way to come, but the family enjoyed themselve so thanks again Ralphy for al that you do for the club.

Other Reps (I think of Geoff) please keep putting in the effort to organise your events......there are members out there that do not have the wherewithall to put in the effort that you do, but will come along and thoroughly enjoy themselves :D
