MORE HELP PLEASE ! A2 28mm carbs ? PICS !

#1 PostAuthor: Monk » Thu Oct 02, 2008 11:55 am

Hi guys

I got a problem. The carbs on my Z1000A2(A) need some sorting but I need to identify them. (see other pics in privious thread)

They have been messured at 28mm.

Question....did late Z1000A2 come with 28mm carbs ?
and from these pics do they look like the origional carbs ?

I think I am right in saying that Z1000A1/2 had 26mm carbs, same size as the A4, but Z1Enterprizes site makes reference to 78 Z1R and late A2 having 28mm carbs as standard when they ran out the model.

These carbs have the tickover adjuster ot the top, you can see it in the pic.
Three screws holding the top on and smaller angled drain plugs.

Plerase can someone help ?????

Who measured them? They look from like 26mm to me. A2 had 26mm as did A1, D1 onwards 28mm for the British bikes

If they have the airscrew underneath then they are the same as those on my UK spec Z1000-A1. They will be 26mm not 28mm.

Inlet rubbers look a tad tired.

I thought that the 28mm carbs had a flatter top cover with only two screws. My Rickman has these but by z900 has carbs like in the pics but with that more rounded cover with 3 screws ??

I might be wrong
