Could anyone tell me which tank would have been fitted on a 74 Z1B originally? I have a small tamk with hidden lower seam and a larger tank with seam right at the edge, and being such a stickler for originality,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!

There shouldn't be much difference in the size or overall shape but the early tank had the seam underneath the outside edge seam started with the A4.

Tom, the later tank also had a lockable fuel cap, the earlier one didnt....

Thanks everybody.

The Z1 entreprises page makes it perfectly clear. I have the right tank for my Z1b and also a Z900 that came on it.

I think "locking" is a bit of an exageration Colin, but I know what you mean.
