Santa Pod has its own weather system anyway, it can be raining where everywhere else is sunny and dry where every where else is wet, Hope to see you all there, we have a few Zeds racing which will be a first in quite a while (weather permitting)

still planning on being there with the rexes... if it's not raining. Those who want to race don't see the point in going if it's raining

I may just take shawn the biker sheep rucksack, so if you see him come and say hi!!

There is a BP Petrol station at the junction of the A509 and the A428 between Olney and Bozeat.

If this works we can then agree a time - not sure when it starts etc.

10.30 at the petrol station noted above. We can then go find Mark in his van who will have saved us a space...........

Saturdays goings on

#22 PostAuthor: Al » Sat Sep 13, 2008 9:46 pm

Here's a little more shaky video with sound from Saturdays comings and goings at Santa Pod;

Still of Steve Debben

Still of Mark pigford

Mark Pigford still cant stop the wheelies

Some thoroughly mad shit

Ray Debben managed a 7.9 second run before i left and as a testament to the abilities of this engineer and the dismay of the other competitors he likes to run without any bolt on speed. Last i heard he was Naturally Aspirated in a class with NO2, turbo or probably superchargers. Correct me if i am wrong.
He made little of telling me that it is just very carefully put together!!!!!

Here he is in the near lane.

Slideshow from the Muscle Bike Do.

Pigford was struggling to get off the line due to the grippy nature of Santa Pod.
He seemed to be getting the hang of it though as Guyzed said he managed an 11.5 1/4 mile time. Pretty impressive and I`m sure he could knock a little bit more off that.

Well, what a Soopa Doopa weekend.... :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
great to see all those ZEDS parked up in the Debben's pit area & also in the Muscle bike arena (well done Guy  )
I'd like to thank Ray & Steve (Romeo  ) D for their patience & advice.. etc
Also Julian (Silver GPZ with NO2 - MINT) & Lee (Turbo Zed - MINT) & Carl (Mental NO2 Harris - MAD), for making the weekend a good laff...
I learned a lot.... great meeting you all, cheers
These chaps are true ZedHeads... had Zeds for years... and know there stuff, fine chaps indeed
Also Al (Zorded) who did warn me that the track was a tad STICKY  As a novice, I was getting the hang of the other ropey tracks (cr*p surfaces).... but this was a different thing.... like glue :??
Anyhow, after a naff 1st run... in the 12's, the 2nd run was me best 11.5 :|
Only got in 3 runs Saturday as so many bikes..... and didn't bother Sunday. Well worth the 350+ mile round trip :P
Hopefully Romeo will post some of the photo's he took of the Zeds lined up outside the Debben Marquee
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

The Old Z900 with slipping clutch managed to beat ZX12R, Hayabusa and GSXR to win the final this weekend at Santa Pod, Old Zeds still rule
