Rickman tripleclamp help

#1 PostAuthor: kenif » Wed Sep 10, 2008 1:34 am

Hi Lads ,I'm a bit pissed of at the moment,I've lost the top triple clamp dome nut from my CR,after dozens of calls trying to find one with no luck, even trying to find what thread type it is was interesting, one of the fitters at work measured it and came up with a hydraulic fitting that fits perfect, being 1inch 20tpi UNEF,does this sound correct? Also could someone tell me who made the tripleclamps for these bikes, where they betor, ceriani or where they Rickman products. Thanks heaps,I dont know what to do or who to contact.Cheers,Ken.

Hi Ken the triple clamps on your bike were made by Betor.I'll have a look at work and see if there are any nuts the same as the original.
Got the Rex, just the Kat to get now...

I thought they might have been Betor considering the forks are,I tried a few shops here that specialise in Bultaco's and Montessa'a and stuff but struck out .Cheers Ken.

If someone can provide me with a 1" 20tpi tap then I'll be more than happy to make a few of these on my lathe for all us Rickman owners.
Iain, can you oblige :?:

Meanwhile Ken, I'll have a dig around.......

Sorry can't find it yet.

Bill - I think you will find they are metric 25mm by whatever pitch, the axles are BSF if I remember right.
Have a look at Marzocchi ones from the same period as well.
