Oil in alternator casing

#1 PostAuthor: Richardz900 » Mon Sep 08, 2008 8:09 pm

I recently took out the origional screws in the alternator casing to replace with allen screws and oil drained from the casing (approx 1pint), is this normal? If not what is the problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you in advance. :D

Oil in alternator casing is normal. Next time lean the bike away from that side before removing casing

The grommet where the 3 x wires come out are prone to perishing & leaking
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
