Chain oiler pump 73, 74 differance

#1 PostAuthor: GregZ » Tue Sep 02, 2008 11:24 pm

Is the chain oiler pump different for 73 and 74. Enclosed photo shows two pumps. Left on has small adjustment flange with spring. Right has larger adj. flange and small adj. screw. What is the differance.
thanks

Mine is a 1974 Z1A and has an oil pump like the one on the right in your photo. I have no idea when they changed over.

I think Iain posted an informative thread with factory directives that showed 3 types of pumps.
