Yes I'll be there, as Noel says with the dyno truck again this year. if anyone wants a run, it's normally 20 quid but if you print this page off and bring it with you a bit like a voucher and I'll do it for £15.00 instead. The page idea is to verify membership so that noone overhearing people at the dyno can try and pull a fast one by pretending to be a member and get a cheap run.
Only one of my bikes will be in the show this year, as the Zed is going through a complete transformation into something new. My ZRX650R will be in the show, and yes it's up for sale, price depends on the final spec that it goes in, as there are several options according to depth of pockets.
I've been out in the first light of dawn chanting and sacrificing virgin chickens to the weather gods to try and appease them ( it also scares the living shit out of the jehovahs vegans next door  ) So good weather should bless us all with its prescence.
I hope to catch up with some of you over the weekend, and for those arriving by motorbicycle, just watch out for the plod as they usually end up lurking around somewhere making a nuisance of themselves.

Myself and CB will be there tomorrow, God willing :D If the weather is tidy it'll be on the Old Gurl, if not on the Eff Jay

If on the Old Gurl, will hopefully subject her to your machine :D

Went and returned on the Old Gurl - she is now filthy and to add insult to injury, I had just come to terms with the rain when I discovered some arsehole farmer had taken it upon himself to ice the road with allied shite  Grrr

Very few classic bikes, but it was great to meet up with Noel. Missed Jumbo by a knats pube .... only just caught Noel as he was legging it  Met Jam for the first time - more on that to follow.

Here's the pix

Here's Jam's ZRX :

Here's CB admiring a doppleganger of her first bike

I decided to see how well in tune the Old Gurl was. On the first run Jam said she's running extremely rich  :?: she smoked a lot then it suddenly dawned on me ... we had both stuffed our gloves and scarves under the seat

Second run she was running quite weak and Jam suggested running the mains two sizes bigger and opening up the pilot jets.

I'm not particularly into push bikes but there's no denying the skill involved in this:

After the ritual humiliation I suffered at the hands of Wayne, with reference to the fit of my leathers, I put my credit card into melt down for new leathers and lid ... God knows how I'm gonna pay for them

All in all a good day meeting Noel and Jam. Bike stunts were good, but there wasn't much in the way of stuff to look at really, considering the entrance fee was a tenner  There were very few classic bikes.

not as much as she will when the mains are the correct size  a sniff under 71 at the back wheel - Jam reckons I'll get 75 with the carbs sorted which is pretty much as it should be as Mr Kwaka measured at the crank in his sales blurb and a fair bit is lost transferring the welly to the back wheel.

Ralph sorry I missed you. But it was good to talk with Noel and Jam. The show was not really over brilliant. I do not really understand why at a bike show people are selling Samurai Swords and Jewellery ?!?

Maybe we should have stand next year ??

I have to say I agree with you 150% :D

It's a personal thing of mine, but I really dislike the use of violence or pseudo violence as an icon associated with bikes and bikers. The back patch clubs have a lot to answer for. Many are criminals who try to justify their despicable life style. When I was a youngster I emulated the patch club image, until I truly understood what they stood for.
I am pretty non-conformist as most bikers are to a greater or lesser degree. I saw the tables of weaponry for sale at the show and tried to kid myself I hadn't seen it - what the fuck has a shite load of potentially dangerous, even deadly, weapons got to do with bikes? grrrr  I'll tell you what - FUCK ALL!! A name that puts me right off the bikes is Street Fighters - I hate and loathe the connotation with urban violence which is at epidemic proportions in certain areas of this country with youngsters thinking that it's cool to carry knives and guns - It's not. I just wish to God someone would come up with a more descriptive name for these bikes - got no issues with the bikes ... just the name. Sorry for the rant

Because people have other interests that bikes.
Because ladies go to the shows and like jewelery.
Because people like to hang samurai swords on their walls.

Are they doing any harm? It's the people that are the problem, not the knives.

My ex used to (and probably still does) collect knives. Had a drawer full of them from a beautiful silver horses headed fruit knife, through effing big bowie knives to a authentic samurai sword. I don't know may other men less likely to use one on someone.

If someone wanted to do harm with a knife, all they have to do is go to the cooking section at tescos.

Just like bikes aren't dangerous.... neither are knives!
