got pissed on the boat, had 3 and a half hours sleep then rode 250 miles with a hangover to pitch my tent in a cold windy field and then woken up several times through the night by the noise of engines hitting there rev limiters.
How was it? Bloody brilliant!
Right from the start the quacker and the guzzi were just ripping through the field.
Good pics Ian. Sounds like you had fun despite the weather. Maybe you should put together a wee account of your trip to the Classic Bol for the club mag and include a few pics?
Many thanks for the cd full of pics of the endurance race bikes from this years classic bol. Good quality as well and not only Zeds. Looks like the weather was mixed though and your wee gpz Kawaski looks a good useable bike.

OK the Bol's come and gone and in a few weeks it's Chimay.
It's a easy 3hour ride once your over the briney. It's no big deal,l did it in my knackered Renault 4 last year.So how about it? any takers?
check out there new web site http://www.circuit.be/ I've just bought my ticket online 21euros for the whole weekend.

Chimay was great,On the way over I stopped at a friends house in Surrey overnight and in the morning the battery was nearly dead. The thought of Belgium beer and frikandels clouded my judgement and I rode on regardless. On the way back the engine cut out and refused to go again. My guess is that the regulator went funny and burnt out the wiring somewhere,I'll find out when it gets here(anything up to 10 days for it to be recovered ).
Still,it was a fantastic weekend and I'm just waiting for next year now!
Thanks for the pics. Pity about the regulator problem on your Rickman. Hope you get it back soon. Perhaps its time you got one of those PMC regulators?
I attach a link to a french specials site that includes a few pics from euro classic events like spa, chimay moto legends etc.
Colin,
Please don't tempt me more classic events in europe,I have a enough trouble as it is(I'm sure you know the feeling)
Theres something special about Chimay. It's just a sleepy little town most of the year but every so often it comes alive with road racing and the locals embrace it.I'm just so glad I broke down on the way back and not on the way out.
I take my hat off to my friend Colin who did the trip on his XS650.My Rickman has a race engine and just Doesn't like it below 75mph .So we ran at 75-85mph all the way and no motorways(who says that xs650's don't handle?)
Finally,Belgium beer http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=T4c3CKoVuZM
