This looks like rhyming slang and I'm guessing it'll be dona-kebab ... but I can't thing how that could be made to rhyme with fifty

On a more serious note this guys feedback isn't exactly free from blemish

Went to see the blokey at BikeCare yesterday.
He wouldn't admit liability, but did suggest that he might cough something. He was adamant that he wasn't give you a blank cheque.
When I was riding home it did occur to me that he had somewhat shot himself in the foot. He was examining the invoice copy and said that it was odd that it wasn't itemised, that there was no VAT mentioned and no invoice number. I started to wonder if one of his lads had been trying to pull a fast one and asked him if he recognised the hand writing at which point he told me it was definitely his own hand writing. This of course pretty much spells out that the job was a casher that didn't enter his books, but will be traceable by the MOT serial number - seems like he's no better at running his business than he is repairing engines. Another bit of expensive but crap work has emerged from the woodwork - he shagged Shaun over on his Zed as well. He was very lucky Shaun didn't rip of his head and shit down his neck
Ed, you need to get me a costing for what it is going to cost you to put the engine right and I'll fight your corner. I have said to him that I consider it right and proper that he pays for the parts and you can put it together yourself. I didn't suggest that you wouldn't let him within fifty miles of your bike
I think he'll play hardball so you'll need to get it sorted as cheaply as if you were funding it yourself but I reckon he'll need to cough something, lest I mail copies of invoices, MOT's etc to TAX bastard and VAT bastard and sworn statements from Mikey and his mate referring to his trying to shag 'em over on the ZZR MOT to VOSA.
I HATE CHEATS. This must be sorted

VDUK, I can only echo the sentiments above - jolly well done that man
I am on the case with pricing parts up and will let you know costs as soon as poss. Z-Power I think would be best, as the UK supplier of classic Kawasaki parts. The machining required to repair the casings etc is going to be hard to price, but even a contribution to parts cost would be a good start.
Many, many thanks for your efforts. It restores faith in human nature somewhat

I can't comment with too much authority without actually seeing the damage face to face, but some of the damage may be repairable with Devcom. Devcom is an epoxy aluminium (in this case) putty which I have used successfully so far to repair a fork leg on the Old Gurl and I have repaired the head where the exhaust stud had been butchered by someone on baby zed. I haven't rebuilt baby Zed's engine yet so I'm not sure how well it will fair when it gets hot, but I'm quietly confident. If you are able, bring the motor round to my gaff and I'll check it out for you. Looking at the pics of the bottom of the barrel, I would thing Devcom would sort that. The damage on the top of the top casing may also work, but machining that would be very tricky, and I definitely don't have anything that would machine that, but it might be possible to 'cast' the devcom around the pin that should be secured in it. I found that furniture polish makes an ace release agent for casting the stuff. Devcom needs to mixed pretty accurately, but luckily I have a very sensitive digital chemical balance.
I very much want the proprietor of Bodge it and Scarper to cough for as much as possible, but living in the real world, there is no way he'll cough the lot so the more we can do amongst ourselves the better. You would do well to check out the cost of stuff from Z1 Enterprises as whilst Z-Power are great, the power of the dollar is pretty crap at the moment so we could make good savings. No harm in pricing from Z-Power though
I've got a lathe and milling machine so lets see what we can do with this engine eh?

I guess you have seen through my cunning plan already........

On the subject of chemical metal type epoxy's I have hopefully got access to a product called Belsona. Used by HM forces for many a bodge, er, effective repair

I'll give you the nod as soon as Z power have got back to me.

I'm wondering whether most, if not all, of the money required to put this engine right can't be prised from this nob given VDUK's stirling investigation.
If you were a dodgy business would you rather lose £500 or so in reparation or have VOSA, VATman and TAXman trawling through your affairs for the past seven years with the prospect of crippling fines and repayments?
I'm too much of a gentleman to call this blackmail. More the case of God loves a sinner come to his understanding.
