Thank you boys!

Yesterday I painted the head and some other parts.

And after that I throw on the barrel.

Image
Putting two pistons in before I start on installing, and the two others after, that means that everything goes slow and controlled.

And working on the engine like this, so the weight of the barrel dont make any problems for me working alone on it.

So, it goes slowly ahead, and also I am waiting for these little fellow:

Bought brand new on ebay, from orientexpressracing.
310 Dollar.

Its the old K series from Kerker, where Kerker says that the K stands for kick...haha.

The only thing is that the muffler should be gold...not silver, but I have to wait and see...

Thank you boys!!!

This is become a long term project, I just have to realize it.
But that does not matter, as long as it is fun.

After receiving help from members here, I got hold on a TL 1000R swingarm.

The plan was first to use the Hayabusa arm, but after advice from big green bus I bought a TL1000R swing instead.

Here is Busa at left.
Image
Busa arm is 63.5 cm, TL1000R is 59 cm. Approximately total length.

Busa arm on the bike.
Image
No need for grinding, fits straight on without touching anything.

Image

Image

BUT!
The Hayabusa swingarm is not made in center from the Suzuki factory, that means that when you put in a straight frame, the rear wheel will be off center, much. At least minimum 20mm.

The bracing is originally on the upperside on the Busa, since I will use twin shocks it need to go on the underside.
Up side down on the bike.
On the TL1000R the bracing is originally on the underside.
That makes things easier.

Since the Busa arm is not in line you need to cut of some off the aluminium on the pivot, left side.
I chopped off 6mm, but its more left to take.
This is for to move the swing to left,in order to have the rearwheel in line.

Image
My now retired Makita wood saw makes nice cuts on aluminium. :P

After cutting, now the wheel is 10mm out of center.
Image

With Busa swing.
Image
I will not use the Busa swing.

So, it is very easy to convert the pivot bearings on these Suzuki arms to fit the original 16mm kawa pivotbolt.

On the left side it is the originally Kawa swingarm sleeve, 25 mm in diameter outside.
That fits straight in the Suzuki swingarm sleeve. Using 25mm pivot bolt size.

Here is the swing I will use, TL1000R.
Image

Image

To make the TL1000R arm to fit on this frame you need to grind off about 4-6mm on each side of the "ears" on the frame.
Image

And just mount it up, and its straight in line.
Image

And here we are.
Image

I will sandblast and Gun-Kote the swing, GOLD!
