#1 PostAuthor: angeleddie » Mon Jun 23, 2008 2:46 pm

Hello,

Looking some (more) advice !

I have aquired a micron fork brace for my 1000J .

The advice I need is how or what happens to the dust covers on the fork legs once the brace if fitted?

Thanks in advance.

Eddie

Eddie I also had a z1000j Micron fork brace. If its the same one then the dust covers should be slid up the legs to fit the brace and then slid back down over the shoulders on the top of the brace.

Yes if my memory serves me correctly that is right the rubbers go over the top lip on the fork brace

I put new rubber dust covers back on, but had a small gap underneath so carefully cut the old dust covers to fill the gap.

Thanks Guys,

The problem I am having is that that on the micron fork brace there is no 'lip' for the dust covers to locate onto & as a consequence when the fork leg trvals in & out the dust cover moves with it rendering it fairly useless!

Anymore ideas

Thanks

Eddie
