stupid question but how do you Z1 and Z1000a1/a2 owners keep your alloy engines clean?
I find that white powder/corrosion appears on the alloy.
Currenlty using a brass brush to clean it but cannot get brush in betweeen all the fins such as the vertical ones on top of the head.
And is there any stuff that can be applied ot prevent this? Clear laquer would surely burn off when engine is running.
TIA.

There's some stuff from ScotOil that I've been recommended to spray the engine with as a protective coat.
I always use Autosol clean the ally and chrome with. If you can't find the T-Cut it doubles up as that as well. Did a chaps beemer tank with it the other day. He wouldn't believe his tank could ever look good again - obviously it couldn't look good, wrong shape for a start, but the Autosol brough the paint up a treat! I then protected the paint with Mer.
