Hello Pigford, i`ve also heard that the Dyna 2000 was now very unreliable and possibly now made in China. A bike shop i spoke to said when they had too many failing that Dyna had just said 'bin it' rather than return it. They no longer sell them as it was too much hassle, and they now stock a UK made equivalent, i could try and get details if you are interested? Are you going to be up for any racing this year? Or anyone else?

Jeff passed me straight over to Dynatek

Dynatek said:

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your interest in Dynatek ignitions. Please find attached the instruction information you might need. This is in a .PDF format and Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to open it. You can download a free version of this software at www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html.

If you find the system to be the problem, just call or email for a service ticket #. We will need your name, your daytime #, a clear return address, and a short statement as to the problem with the system. At that point, we will issue you a # which you need to put on the outside of the box/ package you are sending. Within the package, please include a "redundant" copy of all requested information, with a copy of the original invoice, in case our service ticket information gets lost.

If we can be of further assistance, please contact us again.

Sincerely,

Raymond Goshorn

If that's the way they work I shan't buy any more of their gear. I was less than impressed by the speed of service with their British counterparts to be honest. By the time they responded to my request I had received a new unit from Z1 Ent in the States.

If you want to borrow my standard points set for the long time while they decide whether they are going to sort you out and send you some more dodgy Chinese shite they have had manufactured for three grains of rice a unit, let me know. I think it's high time we took the initiative and investigated the possibility that some one is building some units over here. For the sort of money they're charging for these units they could afford to manufacture them at home, they're just greedy corporate bastards. I'm not including Z1 Enterprizes in this statement, but it is an indisputable fact that American corporations are a bunch of ruthless bastards. A mate of mine bought into the ServiceMaster franchise, and got taken very badly up the arse.
