Mudguard height

It seems to be your light bracket. I think it's a bracket to the long rear mudguard :?? I learn the difference when I rebuild my A4, I chromed wrong bracket and the bike looked like yours. this picture wiew the bracket made for long mudguard

O.k... let me get this right, you think I may have a long bracket on a short guard?..
Could be, my bike is original u.k, may have had a long guard as standard which rotted and then the bracket was fitted to a short guard ??.

Need a short bracket ? to try now....

I got a light bracket you could try and if its right one your
welcome to it id post a pic but im a pc dummy, anyway mine looks
longer than yours, and the mounting plate for the rear light is the same
shape as the rear light best way to describe it if your going to hobbos
rally could bring it with me

No, the light unit is different, as is the tailpiece. The light units have a different number of mounting bolts.
86 Z1100R x 2, z7/11r, ZRX400, Z1000B2, ,ZRX1100C4 & Z1000J3.

And another thing, on ebay 290232215568 KAWASAKI Z900/Z1B TAIL LIGHT BRACKET not too far away either.

I have got a US "short" type light bracket if you want to borrow it to see if it fits.
I am working in Swansea everyday so if you PM me a contact number you can arrange to pick it up from work

I'm off work Fri', Sat' Sun', so it's a poss.......

Thanks, saw thei Ebay stuff, but he seems to have a mixture 900/1000 z1
his mudguard is long type, so i'll be none the wiser with that bracket, got one on way and another to look at and if you show me yours :oops: i'll get there......

The raised section of mudguard where the 4 bolts are looks longer than pic's i've seen, mines 5 inches :oops: , anyone confirm/deny if this is correct.
