Z1000R and Z1000J Project - Oven baked paint - carbonfiber

I like the "Orange" with the Gold.
Break away from what everyone else is doing and before long, this work will be what everyone else wants.
I think people sometimes (And I'm not suggesting this of the members of Z1OC) raise objection for 2 reasons.
1/ They wished that they could be so bold, but haven't got the bollox to go ahead.
2/ They aren't so bold but don't want to give credit for "you" taking that stand to be different.
Just do it Roy, anything different, finished to a high standard has to be a good thing that raises the level for others to aspire to.
Well done fella, keep it up!

Thank you boys!.
I am very unsure about that orange...still.
But maybe I will paint double set, one black set with covers and one orange, since I have almost three engines.
The orange will anyway come back when I start on the 1000R
Thats for sure, because I like the orange, and Kawa is using orange.
(green is OK, but you see that green colour everywhere)
That preowner of the Wiseco engine called me, and said he had some more parts that he wanted to give to me, since I bought that engine from him.
OK, some pictures.
This is not so cool, homemade swing in steel, for mono shock GPZ.
Will not be used.
But this one is cool:
Converted GPZ wheel, to take 180 / 55 / 17 size...
New tire as well...
The welding.
With the GSX 1100 swing I bought on German Ebay for four months ago. This I will use on this bike. Not so cool, compared to a TL1000R/ Hayabusa, but this have to do, since I got this wheel now.
I will of course sandblast and Gun-Kote the swing.
The wheel I want to Gun-Kote, but my oven isn't big enough.
I have all ready ordered a custom swing to the 1000R.
That will fit straight on the bike, just have to decide design and which Kawa the back wheel will be taken from.
But first this project.

ARM
you can fit a swing arm off a gsxr600 easy they are quite chunky and you can get them for peanuts (which is all the £ is worth) and should still fit the busa wheels

You have right, it maybe will look a little strange (?) with different wheels...
Hmm, and the £ IS low at the time...

big green bus wrote:my mate can make the top hat bushes for the pivot for £20 but you would have to sort your own shock mounts the arm is off a 600srad becauce there is not much offset for the shock mounts the 600 uses a 180 rear wheel so it is easier if you want to fit a 170 or 160
Oki, do you have a picture of the swing, and which parts include?
I am still thinking...
