Hard inlet rubbers
Carb inlet rubbers - airbox to carb harden with age and become very difficult to fit. I've heard boiling them may help - Bollocks or what?
Does anyone know of another method of softening them up?

I used the hot water method to soften mine up, worked a treat although it took a couple of attempts.
You will need an old kettle to hand though as they will harden again on the walk between the kitchen and the garage.....
I just boiled the kettle and plopped them in for a minute or two and fished them out with a wooden spoon....
