z1a Engine cleaning

Hi,what`s the best way to try and and get my engine casing clean especially around the fins.

is it just elboe grease using autosol,or is their something you can buy for ali-cleaning.

Any suggestions to elimate hours, weeks spent on my knee`s rubbing would be appreciated.
