#1 PostAuthor: conor998 » Sun Mar 09, 2008 11:32 pm

How's it going all,
This is my first post, fantastic website..
I have a 900A4 that i've owned for 14 years but has been off the road for last 5.
Anyway, I,m going to restore her now and want to know does anyone know where I would pick up a MAD MAX 1 style FULL FAIRING????
Hoping to give her this sort of style but have no idea where to look.

Cheers,
Conor.

Hi Conor,

Have a look at the z power web site projects section, they are building a mad max z and will probably be able to advise you on fairings.

There is a link on the links page.

I think Whitehouse have either closed down or transferred their stock to this site:

http://www.madmax-jp.com/kwaka/kowl/kowl-1.htm

You can email them here:

mfp@madmax-jp.com

But if I were you I'd be looking at an old Dunstall or similar rather than a replica because the Japanese guys want something like 198,000 Yen which is around ?985 :!: Something tells me that doesn't include shipping. Then on top of that you should be prepared to expect our wunnerful customs and excise officials to stick on VAT. Oh, and they also stick it on the cost of postage. Don't worry though - they do let you off the first ?18 or so. Bless 'em.

I recently bought a proper/legit Mad Max DVD on eBay for about ?5.00
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Fairing

#9 PostAuthor: conor998 » Wed Mar 19, 2008 8:15 pm

Cheers lads,

I have looked up and e mailed all the links, none replied but I see the full dunstall fairing ( thanks Truffus ) is priced at $345 before postage which sounds like a pretty good deal to me, as I dont need the exact goose fairing, so this is the one i'm going for.
I wanted to give a kind of Road/race look from that period.
Again, thanks again for the help.
I'll post Pics of the bike when i start the project, should be within the next month.

according to the madmax web site, the fairing is for a 1100 Zephyr and will not fit a Z1000 or Z1 etc.

Talk to Z-power. But they will be pricey.
