Anyone know where to get fork legs refurbished mine are excessivley pitted result of standing for 7 years on previous owners driveway, or has anyone got a pair for sale for a Z1000A2

I used a.m.philpot in Luton they pick up your forks do all work needed then send them back pretty quick too. 01582 571234

I agree with Steve. I had Philpott's do mine they advertise in Classic Motor Cycle Mechanics Mag. Easy place to find, think they took about 2 weeks and cost about ?80 for complete overhaul.

Ermm.....being really pedantic here(sorry), but the chrome part you're referring to is the stanchion. The fork leg is the ally bit the stanchion runs into. Just a bit misleading.
Really recommend Philpotts too. Had many jobs done by them.

Philpotts are great as they do a pick-up/delivery service. Last ones I had done cost me ?110 all in.

or in kawasaki speak the inner and outer tube but the top shiney bit by the yokes is probably the headlight mount :biggrin:

I recently got a price for getting some J forks re-chromed and it was very nearly as much as a new set from "PORNO PHIL" at Z-POWER.
