z1000 1978 Restoration project.

I am in the thows of restoring a Z1000 A2, back to original condition.
Only modifications from standard are Progressive shocks. Straight bars, 4 into 1. I have a metchamex swing arm which I may put on.

Which has been progressing reasonably well. I have got to pick up the Petrol Tank side panels and tail from friends Spray shop this weekend. Only things left to do are Wiring, and Brakes.

I have almost finished the engine, but cam shaft bearings are slightly worn. Not sure whether to re use them or not.

Does anyone out there. Know where I can purchase a set of shell bearings for a Z1000 78? I know they are the same for Z900 - Z1000 from 72 - 78.

Z power sell full sets for ?95. Z1 enterprises who have been very useful are out of stock for these.

Any ideas ?

Hello Lever 16062, We normally have these in stock and as you are in Bournemouth which is just down the road from Ringwood you could collect which would save the carriage costs, bearings are ?5.88 each, a full set Genuine Kawasaki pn 13034-030 would be ?94.08 + vat, Regards, Steve
