z1r engine
I've being building a z1r from bits and i dont think the engine is the original one....... the number is Z1E-071**......... does anybody know what model it is from?........ thanks.
Sounds like a mid 70's 900 engine. The Z1-R engines started with KZT00DE******

Sparky, If you are correct in your display of the configuration of engine number ie. Z1E-071XX, it could be a sought after '73 Z1 (manufactured approx 2nd month '73).
Pasc, would be correct with his Z1B, if it was Z1E-071XXX.
Agree with Pasc & Stale, the prefex Z1E is only for the Z1 series & kZ/z900
