Spoke with Z power they said the same, thanks chaps. The bore size should be on the casting, all mine says is japan tokico I am atempting to take it with me to work and get it measured. Has any body used the repair kits for the calipers and master cylinder they definately look the better option cash wise compared to originals
I have overhaulled the front and rear on my J including the front mastercylinder. Although there seesm to be a lot of caution expressed about amateurs doing this work I found it quite straightforward(unlike certain other things!)
In NZ I got a MC kit (430201023) off the shelf for NZๅ.40 which I thought was very reasonable as it is in effect the whole piston.
I endorse the comments about using the hydraulic system to pop out the slave pistons, best way to go. I have found slaves for the j getting hard to find but they look so simple as I would expect a local machine shop could make replacements.
My front brake is still a bit spongy which given everything else has been replaced probably is the original hoses.
