Clutch basket shock absorber

#1 PostAuthor: sprint » Sun Oct 23, 2016 7:13 pm

Hi

Has anybody refurbished the clutch basket shock absorber springs or knows somebody/engineering firm that has/can or is there a kit available to do it?

The springs can/will become loose over time and whilst it may be possible to shim them to take up the play if replacement springs are not available it will be necessary to remove the baking plate to do so which requires removing and then replacing the rivets that hold the assy together.

Has anybody done this and can advise the rivets used or/and a source of replacement springs?

Thanks

Andy

Sprint try sending GEZ635 a pm as he used to offer this service including new springs to OEM spec.

Hi Steve

Thanks for the reply.

The springs that I am referring to are the ones on the back of the basket, see attached. Does your reply refer to the normal clutch plate springs?
