Got a 1990 gsx 1100f streetfightered
with a gsxr 1100h motor running the gixer
carbs with standard size jets but using the
1100f airbox and filter just recently its started
running very rich to the point where its flooding
and running poorly, checked all the usual stuff
float heights etc, been advised carbs could be just
worn out and to buy a stage 1 dyno jet kit to
replace everything in the carbs would this solve it

I wouldn't spend any money on it until you find the problem. If it's run ok with this set up in the past, and has gradually got worse, take the air filter element out and run it round the block with an empty air filter housing, and see if it's any different.

jerry cleaned the plugs
took the air filter out as you suggested
took it for a run seemed ok for a bit but then
started to splutter again after a mile and could smell fuel
forgot to mention in previous post get it above
3500 rpm and its fine.
