Cam timing
Have just fitted new top camchain idler wheel assembly, come to check cam timing as per manual, and its massively way out!
Not just an odd tooth, but nearly half a cam sprocket's worth??
 Ran great beforehand?

how can the tensioner wheel adjust or change the cam timing other than by a very small amount , surely its top dead, fit the cams the right way as per book and count the links after that fit the tensioner
, if its out by a tooth or more then the cams wer set in the wrong position relative to tdc ?
