how to identify which model advancer unit you have?

#1 PostAuthor: KWACKERZ1 » Tue Jun 14, 2016 10:13 pm

I Cannot find where this has been discussed before but i need some info.

I GPZ 1100 B MOTOR And I want to be sure it has the right ignition advance unit.

the T Mrk lines up spot on but i seem to remember reading there were differences in some model advance mechanisms.

How can you tell for sure anybody know the differences?

Also anyone know a reason why a mk11 igniter and pickups would not work on a GPZ11 Motor?

Thought we did this the other day all the B1/2 1000j advancers are the same part no so must advance the same.
The unitrac and R2 are electronicly advanced its just a disc on the unitrac.

Does anyone have a comprehensive list as to which timing unit refers to which model Z ??

I have a few in a box after moving house and need to reference them.
I'd rather be riding my Z1 thinking about God than sitting in a church thinking about my Z1..
