Z1000a1 jetting advice

#1 PostAuthor: Mr Bump » Sun Jun 05, 2016 5:04 pm

Hi,

Building a z1000A1. Engine is completely standard with 0.5 MM rebore. Std carbs. Will be running vance and hines exhaust and std airbox with k&n filter and no snorkel thingy (cos I haven't got one!).

It's currently got stock jetting, 107.5 main, std needle on clip groove 3. To compensate for the pipe etc. I'm thinking of putting 112.5 or 115 mains in it, at least till its run in.

Does this sound about right to the experts out there?

Thanks,

Olly

Your thinking is spot on.
112.5 should be plenty for just the pipe and k&n.
Can always start with the 115 and drop to the 112 later if it's on the rich side.
