GPZ11 Unitrack problem

One of Our lot over here is having a problem with His 1100 Unitrack it still has it injection system fitted when He runs the bike it is showing a fault 1 long flash on the led display followed by 3 short flashes He only has the handbook and its says it's the heat temp sensor any ideas

The unitrac i had used to flash up a fault intermitently if the battery was low.
worth a check.

Yep.....1 long then 3 short is engine temp sensor fault. Might be worth checking the connection to it as it may have just come off

mine used to go every 9 months they used to be £45 from Kawasaki back in the day

The connector to the sensor is prone to corrosion, as is the wire.

Cut the connector off & strip back the wire to expose some nice fresh copper.

Then fit a new connector. :D

From memory, the sensor also fits into a boss, then screwed into the head. It's worth taking it all out & checking both sets of threads for corrosion, as these will effectively increase the resistance of the sensor. :??
