Piston identification?

#1 PostAuthor: LeeJackson » Sun Nov 22, 2015 8:03 pm

Hi Guys

Can anyone help confirm what piston kit I have in my 1000J? They measure 69mm OD and bore seems to be 70.5mm. The guy told me it had a wiseco kit in it, but wasn't sure.. Seem to be pretty fresh

What is stamped on the crowns under the carbon?
Probably something like +1.0mm.

Looks like first Wiseco kit is 72mm (1075cc) K1076, but you would see 4548M07200 and 2835XC if that were the case,.... so; likely oversize Kawasaki pistons, maybe J3 types!!!

Looks like it's forged and possibly Wiseco.
It should have Wiseco or a 'W' within the raised oval on the pin boss that's to the right in your second pic.
It's hard to tell from here as there is an oil drilling and a reflection preventing a clear view.
