Z1000K ltd or CSR 1000 swingarm pivot width

#1 PostAuthor: stevie g » Wed Nov 18, 2015 9:18 pm

Hi Guys, as the subject says, can someone tell me the width at the pivot end of the swingarm please. I make it 250 mm but it's pretty hard to get a proper reading as the bike is complete. I've got a stretched deep brace swinger off my old Z1000 A1 which I know is 235 mm and was thinking of fitting it. Thanks to all replies.

OK thanks. Also just noticed the LTD swinger must be longer overall too cos my stretched one is nearly the same size as it.

That's odd, I am sure I fitted a 235mm wide dresda on my k model ltd and it went in spot on. The dresda was shorter though, I had to get a shorter chain.

Mmmm, now I'm confused. I'll double check tomorrow. Was it definitely a K model ? The B models were a different frame weren't they ?

OK thanks Redbeard, Yea I googled it and every forum says 235 mm. Cannot figure it out. I'm changing over the wheels in next day or two, (CSR wire to LTD mags) so I can refurb them. I'll be able to get a proper reading while the rear is off.

That's nce. Yep same as the CSR, leading front axle etc. I cannot post pics. I fitted a z thou tailpiece and a seat from I don't know what. Mine is a winter hack so nowhere near as clean as yours. If you go onto Facebook and type in S.T.A.B uk go into their photo's, the 5th pic is mine. With the crash helmet on the mirror.

You were correct Redbeard. I pulled the swinger out tonight and it is 235 mm. So that's great news for my Metmachex I'll be fitting. Thanks bud, appreciate it.
