what a beauuuut
Whatever,
What a beaut that is going to turn out !!!!!!!!
Plenty of Z1 detail but different too--like it --lots.
I have just finished my own Z1000 project and got it registered on age related plate last week-i thought it was going to be a real trail to get it registered but it could hardly have been easier--been out on it every night putting some miles on it.
Steve Debben has a sprocket for me which will allow me to complete the bike with Zephyr front and rear ends.
I have the same seat as your bike and i rate it--comfy, a bit different and looks great IMHO -also have one on my A2.
I look forward to seeing the bike progress to completion it will be a proper "special".

Thanks for all your encouragement and kind words! very reassuring
I am glad to hear the seats are actually 'comfy' as well as looking neat. (I had to tweak it about at the back by peeling back the cover and bending the steel base because I raised the tail...but it fits quite snug now. You wouldn't be able to lift the tail another mm without raising the seat on its hinges.)
With regards to the sprocket etc...I have gone to a smaller 530 chain with 6mm offset on the sprockets so I hope it clears everything.

Thanks, The seat came from PMC via Z power. I got a few PMC bits including a lovely stainless pipe which I will post some pics of at some point soon. The 4 into 1 pipe is absolutely beautifully made with incredible TIG joints, flowing hand bent downpipes, tasty flanges that feel like they are made of Titanium or something, and a lovely split collector.....but the tailpipe ran quite low and level (so that it fits standard rear footpeg brackets I suppose) so I had to cut and shut the it to kick it up a bit! Bit of a shame but I got a mate who is a TIG wizard to reweld it and its almost as good as it was originally.
Check out the PMC site...if nothing else for the Jap/Eng translation.

Four pipes rule, anything else is second best.
zedlepplin......have you looked at the Sanctuary bikes for inspiration? http://www.ac-sanctuary.co.jp/rcm/galle ... index.html
Is it just me or do other people find something as simple as getting a bit of laquer on your paintwork exciting?

hi whatever, had a look at the Sanctuary bikes site some very interesting ideas especially like the blue/black bike with the 9/10 spoke wheels I think the wheels are made by a company called breaking not cheap though http://www.bikehps.com/brakingwheels/ have been getting some good inspiration from the following site http://streetfighters.nl/kaw/kawasaki.htm there is a definite difference between the European fighter look and the Japanese fighter look I like both happily another interesting site is http://www.rf-biketech.de/shop/index.ph ... ywork.html plenty of tail kick on these machine a word of caution though when dealing with these guys, I bought a monoshock conversion off them, they are are monumentally slow at doing anything it took three months for my parts to arrive and communication is somewhat tricky if you German is limited /non existent the up side of this though it that there work is excellent
