Brake Rotors

#1 PostAuthor: nicomkii » Sun Nov 01, 2015 11:48 am

What are people doing with getting their brake discs up to scratch. Mine probably have one more year then they will be too thin to be skimmed. There is a mob down here who refurbish using your original centres and original hole spacings but that comes at a price of $300.00 per disc so around $900 for all 3 (420 pounds )
What have others used and pricings, quality etc ?

Don,t try to skim the, they will chatter. Get a machine shop to surface grind them.

I tried 'refreshing' 3 brake discs for my Z1s and they either chattered or squealed. I was lucky enough to have collected 3 NOS units over the years and these have all now been fitted with no further problems.
I believe that the pattern items are as good as OEM ones too.

Thats them, 6 hole centres as long as the hub diameter is the same. They don't mention A3 MkII but have emailed and also find out about shipping down under. Self drill I am guessing ?

Yep and ZPower don't have the 4 hole mounts so looks like refurbing the current ones.
