having a little bit of a memory loss with setting up the gearing on Horace.

can anyone tell me the speed at 4000rpm in top gear please ??

I think with 15T front and a 33T rear should give you around 70mph.Why i rember this i dont know.Must have been when i was converting to 530?

Standard gearing gives 70mph at 4000, does on mine anyroad :)

Well you learn something everyday..... I never knew a Shed could do 70mph.

Final drive should be 1:2.2 .... think I'm running 1:2.15 on my Harris (19t - 41t) with 17" wheels and it's a good compromise - will pull a bit taller as they're nice & light :wink:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Oh bugger ! That's why I can't work I t out right ! I forgot
I changed wheels to 17inch.

There ain't much difference in rolling diameter between old 19" and modern 17" wheels as the newer tyres have a deeper section (apsect ratio or summink like that) :!:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
