FORK LEG .WELDING.
1975.Z1B.ONE OF MY FORK LEG MUDGUARD LUGS IS FRACTURED/PIECE MISSING.WELD OR REPLACE??? ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED.CHEERS . COLIN.
I have often had them welded.
Can't remember if they had a 8mm helicoil in them as standard.. check!
It is common problem for these Z1 fork legs to crack and break-out at these front mudguard attachment points, as this guard acts as a fork brace.
If you have ever riden a Z without a guard you would know. Even a plastic guard is not strong enough to tie these fork-legs together.
