#1 PostAuthor: ColSZ1B » Sat Jun 20, 2015 12:18 pm

Can someone tell me difference between Z1B & Z1000 petrol tanks. My B tank disappeared in '79,some years later bought a tank off a mate but might be off Z1000 he coverted to a Rickman. Help or advice appreciated.Seems a bit of a tight fit on pattern seat I bought [Britax].

The only input I can give here is,

The welded seam on the Z1, A and B was underneath.
The A4 and later models had the seam on the lower "edge" of the tank.

Post a picture.

If it's Z900 or Z1000 that will make a difference to resale value.

The Z1000 has a narrower gap between the front mountings making for a larger capacity.
