Clutch

Hi just bought a GP Z 1100 been stood a long time Engine runs well but the clutch seems to be stuck anybody tell me how to release the clutch without stripping it down I would imagine it stuck on the flywheel many thanks Martin

Get the engine well hot and tie the clutch lever up overnight....

put the bike on the stand & start the engine & select 2nd gear then hold the clutch lever in & stab the rear brake intermittently until it is free. if that wont free it up its only a 10 minute job to remove the plates anyway

Screwdriver thru' the oil filler cap HOLE.

Or, handful of bolts and the clutch casing is off - then its easy-peasy, lemon squeezy :wink:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Thanks for your help unfortunately it didn't free my clutch, can anybody advise me how to get to the clutch plate as I have not managed to buy a manual yet.

Undo the large casing on the r/h side of engine.... the clutch basket & plates will be seen & accessible.
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Thanks for your help bike is running now clutch okay once again thank you

This GPZ 1100 1982 I found in A scrapyard 36000 on the clock put new Petrol In change the oil new battery and it started second go freed clutch and brakes and rolled on private ground today MOT next week and new tires Will need a new fuel tank if anyone's got one oh and by the way I pay £200 for it what a machine
