Steering haed bolt torque
Hi ,checked my manuals and struggling to find steering head bolt torque setting on top yolk , can anyone help please ,
G, the correct method is to set up on centre-stand and with front wheel off the ground.....The handle bars should just fall to full lock position either way.
Always give a final check after a few miles on different surfaces, if new taper rollers have been fitted, to allow bearing outers to bed it. Too tight will cause indentation in the bearing surface, particularly on ball bearings as opposed to taper rollers.
