You can get an DVLA accepted dating letter from Kawasaki UK but it will cost you £57.00.
Regards
Steve
Only if the frame and engine number are as they left the factory or they won't issue a letter

And you will have to fill in the NOVA form for HMRC before you can do the DVLA bit

Rick Brett is your man. He did a dating certificate for my Z1 and it got registered with no issues at all.
However it does need to be sent with the following:
MOT certificate
Title document or if you don't have this for any reason a copy of the purchase invoice/receipt.
Insurance certificate
A print out of your nova registration number.
Completed registration form.
A cheque to cover the fee.
Always best to send a letter with all the documents explains what you have and why you don't have a title document (if you don't have one)

rick bretts the man,,you need to have a vat receipt, then nova, mot, fill out the v55/5 form, plus a receipt from who you bought it off.us title if its got one.
thanks for the above guys.
Problem is although i have a california title the bike, i didn't get a nova form. The bike has come from the estate of the now dead previous owner and this paperwork is missing. It's been in the country for at least five years but never registered. Called Customs who don't recognise the chassis number.
Interestingly, saw on another forum site that bikes over 30 years old don't require a nova certificate so may just post off Insurance, V55/5, mot, age confirmation and some cash and hope for the best.
I'll keep you posted on this but don't hold your breath!

From the states you will need to prove the import duty has been paid but no duty payable from Europe.
However I did know someone who was in a similar situation and he got a payment receipt off a friend in Germany and used this to show that it was purchased from Germany and not the states.
He also told them that the registration paperwork had been lost and all he had now was the receipt.
Alternatively as a law abiding citizen, register it on nova and pay the dues.
